About Sendankusa
宮古島の自然に育つセンダングサは、蜂たちを支える花のひとつです。
乾燥させた葉や花は、昔からハーブティーとしても親しまれています。
花から、乾いたお茶へ。
Sendankusa grows naturally around our bees in Miyakojima.
The flowers support the bees, and the plant is also traditionally enjoyed as herbal tea.

OSHANAでは、巣箱やフレームの多くを自分たちの手でつくっています。
形や素材を少しずつ試しながら、蜂にとって心地よいかたちを探し続けています。
私たちはリノベーション会社でもあるため、現場で出る古い木材を再利用することがあります。
ときには80年以上前の木材を使うこともあります。
誰かにとっては捨てられる木。
回帰的ですが、私たちにとってはもう一度命を持つ素材です。

At OSHANA, many of our hives and frames are handmade by us.
We keep testing different shapes, materials, and original hive styles to find what works best for the bees.
Because we also run a renovation company, we sometimes reuse old timber from our renovation sites — sometimes wood that is more than 80 years old.
What may look like waste to someone else becomes a meaningful material for us.
